Is it a plant? Is it an animal?

The Mint Sauce Worm (so called due to its bright green colour), is an unusual creature. It’s an animal but it produces its own food, which is something that only plants do. No wonder that it’s called a ‘plant animal’.
Algae (a kind of plant) that live on the bodies of these worms produces food in sunlight through a process called photosynthesis. This food is then eaten by the worm, making it self-sufficient (it doesn’t have to depend on anyone else). The worm is found on beaches in shallow water along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.
